Georgiana will soon turn 15 and is taking care of her six younger siblings. The seven children live together in Romania while their mother works in Italy. The oldest sister cooks, cleans, is there and tries to find time for her studying. She meets her task with astonishing serenity, and only from some comments you can imagine how much she also misses her mother and how overwhelmed she must feel. In August the mother shall return. They all await that moment and all the calls and Skype sessions make them wish for her presence even more.
Teodora Ana Mihai was born 1981 in Bucharest, Romania. During a period, in which the country was overshadowed by the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu, her parents fled the country without their daughter, but one year later she was also brought to Belgium. Her last two years of high school were spent in San Francisco, where she lived with her aunt. There her wish to study film arose. She studied at Sarah Lawrence College in Upstate New York. Her first works were made after a phase working as a script supervisor and assistant director. Her feature film, Little Lies, was funded by the Flemish Audiovisual fund and was subsequently followed by Waiting for August.
