Intercultural cooking and video courses for unaccompanied minor refugees and young people

Workshop Leaders Branka Pavlović, Assibi Wartenberg and Mazhar Iqbal

COOK N' SHARE

In a productive and enjoyable atmosphere, unaccompanied minor refugees and other Teenagers from Berlin acquire basic cooking skills. They learn from culinary adults, who came to Berlin as refugees themselves or are successfully running a restaurant in the area. The workshop is focused on how to cook a variety of tasty dishes. In addition to the cooking courses, a video course is led by a professional filmmaker in which the participants learn to document the cooking process cinematically. From the initial pilot project in February 2016, the participants created a video-cooking-blog on which the recipes are collected and published.
