SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA looks back!

When we launched SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA at Haus der Statistik in 2020, our aim was to create a physical space for  film culture and education, one that emphasises the transnational nature of society, that generates community and builds a bridge between its urban locality and international movements.

2020-2022 this led us to working with curators from across the film and culture spectrum, 32 different series that brought together myriad films ranging from archival to contemporary, documentary to fiction, workshops and education programmes, a symposium, invited guest speakers and guests from across Berlin and beyond.

We now take all that we learnt from these enriching experiences to construct the new SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA space in Wedding!
