NEOLA art projects, the Goethe-Institut Istanbul, and the German-Turkish Youth Bridge present the comics and illustrated short stories of the workshop Crossing the Bridge – Graphic Short Stories.
From 24th to 28th October 2016, comic artists Michael Jordan (D) and Ersin Karabulut (TR) guided 14 young writers and illustrators from Germany and Turkey at bi’bak to work together on comics and graphic short stories. The outcome of this five-day workshop is presented by bi’baxchange.
The projects is founded by the Federal Foreign Office.
Ersin Karabulut is a comic artist and illustrator. He makes comics for the turkish Uykusuz magazine, which he co-founded with a group of artist friends, and produces works for Fluide Glacial in France. He also does workshops about comic art and story telling.

In 1999 he won the 1st prize at the International Comix Competition of Fumetto (Lucerne, CH). Since 2003 he works with the artist group Tonto-Comics from Graz.
